Doug, Andy and Pam Robinson from Salt Lake spent the 17th with Trini and Phil on the EL AMO.  This 34' Hatteras has been fairly high profile lately and Captain Trini has the reputation of being a Superior Marlin fisherman. This time of year when the Marlin are not around, Trini does his best to find the biggest fish available and on this day it was a good sized Dorado.  They lost another and in the afternoon hooked and released a 40 pound Roosterfish. 

The Robinson's (actually Doug and Andy Robinson) and Mom Pam D. who has no intention of being called Mrs. Robinson witnessed a spectacular show by dozens of Manta Rays.  They stood on the bow of the EL AMO and watched these magnificent creatures glide through the water like spacecraft.  The seas at the 3:30 spot towards El Banco were fairly heavy and Doug and Andy turned a few shades of lime for awhile but as they headed back to the bay, things were calmer and all was well. 

A very nice surprise for us (well actually for me) was a bottle of the best Cabernet that my family has ever tasted.  Cabernet Boy Doug brought a bottle of wine as a gift and we enjoyed it at a dinner celebration for the pregnancy of our first grandson.  The best part was that the pregnant mom Kim did not drink any so me, the Grandmama and Aunt Nicole got to finish the whole thing by ourselves.  Great night and we have you, Doug to thank for this.  We tried to convince the expectant mom to consider the name Doug but she didn't get any of the Cabernet so Doug was not a consideration.  Thank you very much and we all hope that you and the family get here again soon.  .
